499P's start 8 Hours of Bahrain

An hour and thirty minutes after the green flag for the 8 Hours of Bahrain, the Ferrari 499Ps sit in second and fifth position. Alessandro Pier Guidi and Miguel Molina, respectively, took the wheel of the number 51 and 50 Hypercars for the first stint.

After two training laps, the final round of the FIA World Endurance Championship at Sakhir kicked off at 2 p.m. local time, with an air temperature of 32.3°C and the track at 41°C. 

The Ferrari – AF Corse team cars got off to an excellent start, avoiding any collisions at the first turn and immediately taking second and third position behind the number 8 Toyota. After the pit stop, one hour into the race, the Italian driver returned to the track in second, 21 seconds behind the leaders. His Spanish teammate, who started the second stint in fifth place with a gap of 33'924 to first, was three places further back.
