Next Scuderia Ferrari HP Esports star to be crowned in Abu Dhabi
The Ferrari HP Esports Series returns to Ferrari World Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, next week (3 December) to conclude its 2025 season, with a world-class lineup of 14 Grand Finalists representing 10 countries across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC regions.
Following a year of expansion, which saw new regional pathways and heightened community engagement through the Thrustmaster Community Cup, the 2025 roster reflects the Series’ most diverse and globally competitive field to date.
With drivers ranging from 18 to 48 years old, the Ferrari HP Esports Series has showcased exceptional sim racing talent across three different platforms: iRacing, Assetto Corsa, and Assetto Corsa Competizione.
The Thrustmaster Community Cup, designed to elevate community racers to the international stage, has already proven its impact. This year, Italian driver Simone Seminara earned the 2025 wildcard entry after a decisive victory in the final round of the Cup, joining 13 Regional Finalists on the Abu Dhabi grid.
The Series continues to establish itself as a global career gateway. Last year’s champion Luke Whitehead secured a full-time contract with the Scuderia Ferrari HP Esports Team, joining alumni Jonathan Riley, Gergo Baldi, and Isaac Gillissen - who all progressed from the Series into the elite Ferrari esports ecosystem.
Luke Whitehead, Scuderia Ferrari HP Esports Team Driver, said: “We've seen how the drivers compete on their own rigs at home, but the Ferrari HP Esports Series Grand Final are a completely different ballgame. It'll be all about how the drivers can adjust to the pressure of different equipment, three different sim platforms and, of course, the bright lights of the enormous Ferrari World Esports Arena and the enormous honour of joining the Scuderia Ferrari HP Esports Team. That's what all the drivers want to win... I'm excited to see the show the drivers can put on!”
The Grand Final format remains one of the most rigorous in sim racing, with competitors facing a qualifying session and race on each platform. The driver who shows the strongest performance across all three platforms will be crowned the 2025 Ferrari HP Esports Series Champion.
The Americas contingent features a powerful mix of experienced and returning talent. Brazil’s Ronaldo Carlos, aged 48, arrives as the runner-up in both Americas iRacing Regional Finals, while fellow Brazilian Robert Santos dominated the category by winning both races outright.
Argentina’s Nicolas Alvarado returns to the Grand Final, after finishing 11th last year, after demonstrating his skill on Assetto Corsa Competizione. Rounding out the region is Brazil’s Eduardo Cavalli, the fastest Assetto Corsa driver in the Americas and a standout performer throughout the season.
The EMEA line-up is led by Hungary’s Norbert Tamas, who delivered a flawless campaign by winning every iRacing Regional Finals race. Spain’s Gael Valero joins him as the iRacing runner-up, completing a formidable pairing on the platform.
The region’s Assetto Corsa Competizione strength is equally impressive, with the Netherlands’ Sven Geelhoed entering as the fastest ACC driver in EMEA. Rising Lithuanian talent Grantas Kareckas and Italy’s Amedeo Castorino make up the region’s ACC specialisttrio.
The APAC roster brings youthful energy and world-class credentials to Abu Dhabi. At just 18 years old, Australia’s Kody Deith is one of the highest-rated iRacing drivers in the world andreturns for his second Grand Final after finishing 16th last season. Fellow Australian Damon Woods leads the region’s iRacing contingent this season, entering the Final as APAC’s top performer.
Indonesia’s Andika Rama Maulana favours Assetto Corsa after a fierce battle in the Regional Finals, where he outpaced last year’s LAN finalist to secure his spot as the fastest AC driver in APAC. Malaysia’s Naquib Azlan completes the APAC squad as the last confirmed finalist, bringing recent real-world racing experience from the Okayama Circuit.
The 2025 Ferrari HP Esports Series Grand Final promises to be one of the most competitive conclusions in the Series’ history. With returning veterans, rising stars, and regional champions, the event will determine which driver earns the chance to follow in the footsteps of past winners and secure a position within the Scuderia Ferrari HP Esports Team.
