Driver comments from the Finali Mondiali
Scarperia 26 October 2025
The Mugello Circuit has crowned the new world champions of the Prancing Horse single-marque series. On the Tuscan circuit, on a day marked by rain and a wet track surface, four winners emerged from the Finali Mondiali.
Vincenzo Scarpetta (Radicci Automobili), winner of the Trofeo Pirelli, expressed all his joy after climbing the podium. The young Italian driver was making his debut in both the Finali Mondiali and the Ferrari Challenge: “It was really important to win this race. I want to thank my sponsors, the tifosi and, above all, my father for supporting me.”
Michael Verhagen (Ferrari Warszawa) takes home to the Netherlands the Finali Mondiali trophy in the Trofeo Pirelli Am class and is already eager to return to competition next year: “The team prepared a really excellent car. I’d like to thank Ferrari for giving me a fantastic weekend — it was great also for my sponsors.”
American driver Rey Acosta (The Collection), after triumphing in the Coppa Shell, thanked first and foremost his family, his friends back home and those who followed him to Italy, and especially his brother, who joined him at Mugello. “The track conditions today were ideal: not really wet, but not dry either, so that allowed me to pull away and build a good gap over the others. I want to thank the whole organisation — I can’t wait to contest many more races with Ferrari.”
It was another wet race in the Coppa Shell Am. The winner, Jan Sandmann (Kessel Racing), still had plenty of fun: “We tried to drive perfectly and I did everything possible to achieve that. We managed it, so there’s huge happiness!” The German driver then thanked his team, Kessel Racing, and his coaches, Charlie Hollings and Felice Jelmini.
