Mugello to decide North America series titles
The Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli North America leaves America for the final round of the season, traditionally held during the week of the Finali Mondiali, this year held at the Mugello International Circuit. With two races to go, no titles have been decided yet, and all championships are still in play, setting the stage for an exciting season finale.
In the Trofeo Pirelli, Massimo Perrina (Ferrari of Seattle) leads the standings with 407 points, courtesy of seven wins so far this season. Behind him, Dylan Medler (The Collection) has 363 points after closing the gap in the most recent round at Laguna Seca. Roberto Perrina (Ferrari of Seattle) is further adrift but still in the title hunt. He currently lies third with 349 points, having secured two second-place finishes at the last event in California.
In Trofeo Pirelli Am, series leader Brad Fauvre (Ferrari of San Francisco) holds a clear advantage, topping the standings with 364 points, 47 clear of Sebastian Mascaro (Ferrari of Central Florida). Further adrift, Rey Acosta (The Collection) is no longer in the title hunt but remains under pressure to defend his third-place standing. He leads Jay Logan of Ferrari of Austin by only three points. Behind him are a group of challenger drivers, including Ofir Levy from Ferrari of Silicon Valley, Gerdas Venslovas of Continental AutoSports, and David Musial of Ferrari of Lake Forest.
In the Coppa Shell, the title contest is between Mitchel Green (Ferrari of Westlake), who leads with 391 points, and Yahn Bernier (Ferrari of Seattle) on 365. However, Gary Ott (Ferrari of Philadelphia) is still mathematically in the mix. The Coppa Shell Am is even tighter, with just three points separating current leader Gabe Hrib (Ferrari of Atlanta) from Michael Owens (Ferrari of Alberta). Louis Flory (Ferrari of Houston) lies further back but is still mathematically in the race, 57 points behind the leader.
Lisa Clark (Ferrari Beverly Hills) has now effectively secured the Coppa Ladies Shell, as has Melissa Kozyra (Ferrari of Naples) in the Coppa Shell Am, where she also holds fourth place in the overall Coppa Shell standings.
