Ferrari becomes World Champion in the 2025 FIA World Endurance Championship after an extraordinary performance at the 8 Hours of Bahrain.
The Ferrari 499P delivered a decisive result, securing both the Manufacturers’ Title and the Drivers’ Title thanks to the #51 crew of Alessandro Pier Guidi, James Calado and Antonio Giovinazzi.
This historic achievement marks another milestone for the Prancing Horse in the Hypercar era.
In this video we cover the key moments of the race, the strategy, and what this victory means for Ferrari’s future in endurance racing.
The Fuji 6 Hours ended with the official Ferrari – AF Corse 499Ps in 12th and 15th place overall, for the crews number 50 and 51 respectively of Antonio Fuoco-Miguel Molina-Nicklas Nielsen, and Alessandro Pier Guidi-James Calado-Antonio Giovinazzi.
The AF Corse privateer 499P, entrusted to Prancing Horse official driver Yifei Ye together with Robert Kubica and Phil Hanson, crossed the line in 10th place.
The Japanese leg, the penultimate round of the 2025 FIA WEC, proved extremely challenging for the Maranello manufacturer’s Hypercars, as expected on the eve of the race. Nevertheless, Ferrari remain leader in the World Manufacturers’ Championship, while Pier Guidi, Calado and Giovinazzi still top the drivers’ standings.
The world titles will therefore be assigned in the season-closing round in Bahrain, with the 8 Hours scheduled for Saturday, 8 November.
Ferrari clinched second place at the Lone Star Le Mans, sixth round of the FIA WEC 2025, with the 499P number 50 of Antonio Fuoco, Miguel Molina and Nicklas Nielsen, and fifth with the other car of the official Ferrari – AF Corse team, the number 51 of Alessandro Pier Guidi, James Calado and Antonio Giovinazzi.
Seventh place overall – and first in the category reserved for independent teams – for the 499P in Giallo Modena livery entrusted to Ferrari official Yifei Ye, with Robert Kubica and Phil Hanson: a result that allows AF Corse to celebrate in America the FIA World Cup for Hypercar Teams title. This is the eighth title conquered by AF Corse in the FIA WEC era, starting in 2012 and always with Ferrari cars, while Ye clinched the fifth international title of his motorsport career.
The 499Ps leave Brazil, venue of the 6 Hours of São Paulo, with 11th and 12th place finishes for the number 51 and 50 cars fielded by the official Ferrari – AF Corse team, and an eighth place overall for the number 83 crew entered by AF Corse. These results allow Prancing Horse to keep its lead in the world manufacturers’ championship and ensure Pier Guidi-Calado-Giovinazzi remain leaders of the drivers’ standings, while AF Corse consolidates its lead in the independent team standings.
For the third year running, Ferrari has triumphed at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, securing the 93rd edition of the French endurance race with the number 83 499P driven by Prancing Horse’s official driver Yifei Ye, alongside Phil Hanson and Robert Kubica, who crossed the line in the AF Corse team’s Giallo Modena-liveried car.
In the fourth round of the 2025 FIA WEC, the number 51 499P of Alessandro Pier Guidi, James Calado and Antonio Giovinazzi took third, ahead of the other official Ferrari – AF Corse car, number 50, driven by Antonio Fuoco, Miguel Molina and Nicklas Nielsen. Thanks to the Italian manufacturer’s extraordinary result, Ferrari will now keep the winners’ trophy forever – a right granted to those who secure victory in three consecutive editions. After the wins in 2024 with Fuoco-Molina-Nielsen and the Centenary edition in 2023 with Pier Guidi-Calado-Giovinazzi, the Maranello manufacturer once again climbs to the top step of the podium with a car already etched in motorsport legend – the Ferrari 499P, which has won every race contested at the Circuit de La Sarthe since its competitive debut.
The Maranello manufacturer now boasts 12 overall victories in the world’s oldest and most prestigious endurance race between 1949 and 2025.
