    Ferrari 499Ps feature at Pesage

    Le Mans 08 giugno 2024

The historic centre of Le Mans hosted the traditional Pesage, the technical scrutineering of the cars taking part in the FIA WEC’s most eagerly anticipated race. This event marked the opening of the 92nd edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The spotlight was on the two official Ferrari – AF Corse 499Ps and AF Corse’s Hypercar number 83.

The public and fans gathered to admire the passing of the Maranello manufacturer’s Le Mans Hypercars and welcome the drivers who will be in action on the track from Sunday 9 June, when the Test Day takes place at the La Sarthe circuit.

The parade through the heart of Le Mans featured Antonio Fuoco, Miguel Molina, and Nicklas Nielsen, who share the 499P number 50, alongside their teammates Alessandro Pier Guidi, James Calado, and Antonio Giovinazzi, returning to Le Mans in Hypercar number 51, which last year earned the Prancing Horse its tenth overall victory. The fans also clapped for the drivers of the 499P number 83: Ferrari officials Yifei Ye and Robert Shwartzman, who share the Modena Giallo-liveried car with Robert Kubica.

After the Test Day, the next stop will be on the track on Wednesday 12: the programme will feature two Free Practice sessions, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and from 10 p.m. to midnight, interspersed with Qualifying (7 p.m. to 8 p.m.). This will be followed on Thursday 13 by Free Practice 3, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m; the Hyperpole (8 p.m. to 8.30 p.m., reserved for the eight fastest cars in qualifying), and a final Free Practice session from 10 p.m. to 11 p.m. The 24 Hours will get underway on Saturday, 15 June at 4 p.m. (times are local).
