Charles: “Clear goals for the final part of the season”
Charles Leclerc arrived in the Zandvoort paddock ahead of the Dutch Grand Prix, ready to go for the rest of the championship, with ten races remaining to the end of the season. “Some objectives are now out of reach, but the motivation is still there and we have clear goals for the rest of the season,” he said.
Wins and second place. Speaking in the Scuderia Ferrari HP hospitality, Leclerc explained further: “We can be happy with the progress we have made over the past few races before the summer break. Sunday at the Belgian Grand Prix, qualifying in Hungary and in general, the races over the summer saw us constantly take steps forward. We must continue like this with the aim of fighting for the wins, as well as securing second place in the Constructors’ championship,” affirmed the Monegasque.
A surprise for Lorenzo. Charles then spoke about his holidays. “I spent time with friends and family, as well as my dog Leo. I’d say I didn’t do anything special on these holidays. Actually, no there was something special. We made my elder brother Lorenzo that me and my little brother Arthur had organised a karting day for all of us. But actually, he arrived to find we had a Formula 1 car for him to drive. That way we can now say that all three Leclerc brothers have driven a Formula 1 car.”
Good to have two more cars. Leclerc then spoke about the Cadillac team’s driver announcement. “I’m pleased for Checo Perez and Valtteri Bottas and I think it’s good for Formula 1 to have two more cars on the grid, with a new Ferrari-powered team. I think it’s proof that our sport is in very good health,” he concluded.
