OVER 40 FERRARIS CELEBRATE 20 YEARS OF THE XX PROGRAMME AT MUGELLO
The second special, non-competitive activity created by the Maranello manufacturer for its most exclusive clients after F1 Clienti, the XX Programme, celebrates its first twenty years this year, spent between iconic tracks and exclusive events all over the world. The setting for the celebrations is the prestigious stage of the Finali Mondiali, scheduled for 21-26 October at Mugello, where the rich calendar of initiatives and on-track activities will feature a special space for the numerous sessions dedicated to the cars of the XX Programme. The Entry List is a record-breaking one, with a presence of over 40 cars that are part of the programme and around forty client-drivers who will get behind the wheel of these sophisticated and powerful models from the Maranello manufacturer.
The cars on track. Several models that have made the history of the exclusive programme will be on track at Scarperia, where we will find at least ten examples of the 599XX and 599XX Evo, cars that appeared from 2010 as a development of the 599 and which are the only examples of the XX Programme with a front-mounted 12-cylinder engine. The rest of the entry list is made up of the FXX K and the FXX-K Evo. The former is perhaps the best-known of the programme's cars, presented in 2015 and based on the LaFerrari; the FXX K won the Compasso d'Oro design award in 2016, catching the judges' attention for its "high level of industrial craftsmanship". The FXX K and the FXX-K Evo (presented in 2017) combine the power of the 12-cylinder internal combustion engine with the instant power of the Hy-Kers for a total of 1050 hp. The sophisticated aerodynamics, both active and passive, the electronic controls and the ability to rely on 530 kg of downforce at 200 km/h allow the FXX K and FXX-K Evo to encapsulate the essence of Ferrari track technology.
The programme at Mugello. The on-track action for the XX Programme cars will begin on Thursday 23 October with two 20-minute sessions each, the first at 9.00 a.m. dedicated to the 599XXs, followed at 9.25 a.m. by the one for the FXX K and FXX-K Evo. In the afternoon, the double session will be at 1.40 p.m. and 2.05 p.m. The programme repeats identically on Friday 24th, while on Saturday, after the morning sessions, the afternoon ones will start at 12.30 p.m. with the 599XXs and at 12.55 p.m. with the FXX K and FXX-K Evo. Finally, the cars return to the track on Sunday 26th, after the eagerly awaited Ferrari Show, with two more 20-minute sessions: the 599XXs at 3.00 p.m. and the others at 5.00 p.m.
The 2025 season. The Finali Mondiali at Mugello constitute the closing event of an intense season that has seen the clients and special cars of the XX Programme take on some of the world's most iconic circuits. After the debut in Jeddah in February, the programme moved on to Monza, Le Castellet, Miami, Fuji, Barcelona and finally Spa during the Racing Days with all the Maranello manufacturer's off-track activities. The events organised by Ferrari allow not only the on-track experience complete with technical assistance, but also a series of exclusive appointments and initiatives outside the track that guarantee participants an unrivalled experience.
The 2026 calendar. While celebrating 20 years of the programme, preparations are already underway for the 2026 season, for which the fascinating calendar of events has already been revealed. It will start in February, from the 6th to the 8th, in Qatar, before reaching the French circuit of Le Castellet from 18-20 March. The programme remains in Europe, and more precisely at Mugello, for the third event scheduled for 9-10 April. There is a double American trip for the exclusive cars of the Prancing Horse with the event on 15-17 May at COTA and a week later (21-22 May) at Road Atlanta. The return to Europe passes through the Algarve with the Portimão round on 24-25 July and finally to Budapest from 11-13 September, before the awaited Finali Mondiali event which has yet to announce its venue for 2026.
