Driver comments from Race-2 at Mugello of the Ferrari Challenge North America
The Ferrari Challenge North America season concluded at the Mugello Circuit, which also decided the final titles. The winners of Race-2, on the podium, commented on their performances.
In the Trofeo Pirelli, Dylan Medler (The Collection) won ahead of Roberto Perrina (Ferrari of Seattle) and Massimo Perrina (Ferrari of Seattle). Pleased with the victory, Medler credited his team for preparing the event perfectly. “We knew we had the pace during the race” he explained “I was just waiting for the right moment to attack. Towards the end, after the Safety Car, I took the opportunity. Winning here is an amazing way to end the Ferrari Challenge North America season.”
In Pirelli Am, Ray Acosta triumphed. The driver of The Collection really enjoyed the Mugello Circuit and has high hopes for Finali Mondiali. “Great weekend here in Mugello. Today's been an amazing race with the tough competition out there” he said at the line “I'm so proud of all my teammates that there were recently. Great track. I love it. Let's see what happens in the Finale!”
In Coppa Shell, Yahn Bernier (Ferrari of Seattle) repeated the previous day’s success, although he did not hide his disappointment at the championship slipping away: “Another win here at Mugello makes the weekend perfect for me. The end of the season was bittersweet, however, because I finished second by just a few points. But I really had a great time in Italy with all the hospitality and amazing people. Looking forward to next year’s season and back for the Finali next year”
Twin wins in Race-1 and Race-2, in Coppa Shell Am, for Melissa Kozyra (Ferrari of Naples), who also claimed two pole positions and the fastest laps: “Two incredible days for me. I’m blown away. It’s an amazing track and facilities. I hope to bring this momentum to Finali Mondiali as well.”
