In the Display Area, the timeless gems of Maranello

Maranello 21 October 2025

The Display Area, set up in the centre of the paddock at the Finali Mondiali Ferrari 2025, returns to attract the attention of enthusiasts, drivers, clients and collectors, offering a unique journey through the history of the Prancing Horse. The exhibition, curated down to the smallest detail, brings together some of the masterpieces that have emerged from the gates of Maranello, cars that tell the story of decades of passion, innovation and victories on circuits around the world.

Over 40 gems are on display in this unique location in Mugello, allowing visitors to take a journey back in time, starting in 1954 with the Ferrari 250 Monza and continuing through to more recent years, culminating in the F1-75 single-seater from 2022. Amid a wealth of history and passion.

Among the absolute stars of the show is the oldest car, the Ferrari 250 Monza, one of the first barchetta to bear the name of the famous Lombardy circuit and a symbol of the sporting audacity of the 1950s. Produced in very limited numbers, it represents the perfect combination of elegance and power, with a V12 engine capable of inspiring dreams in drivers and spectators alike.

No less iconic are the Ferrari 512 BB LM models from 1978 and 1981, which have already played a leading role in endurance racing. With their sculpted lines and unmistakable twelve-cylinder sound, these cars represent one of the purest expressions of 1970s racing.  Paying homage to the past, among many others, is the Ferrari 500 Mondial, a car created in 1954 to celebrate the international triumphs of the Maranello-based manufacturer: the name ‘Mondial’ is a tribute to the Formula 1 World Championship title, won by Alberto Ascari in 1952.

Remaining in the world of racing, but in distinctly more recent years, the Ferrari 488 GTE is on display, built for endurance races in the top category reserved for cars derived from series production. Amid such beauty, there are also track cars, but ones intended for non-competitive use, like the FXX K or the 599XX EVO, which are part of the exclusive XX Programme, and will cross the line of its 20th anniversary in 2025.

Among the most admired vehicles there are also the Formula 1 single-seaters of recent years, such as the 2018 Ferrari SF71H or the various models from the early 2000s. Each car on show in the display area tells a fragment of the Ferrari legend. Together, they form a mosaic of emotions and mechanical excellence that continues to inspire today’s generations.
