Ferrari Challenge Australasia ready for season finale at The Bend

Sydney 04 September 2025

Following two back-to-back rounds at Sydney Motorsport Park, the inaugural Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli Australasia season will draw to a close at The Bend Motorsport Park in South Australia this weekend.

Australia’s newest permanent motorsports facility located 100km south-east of Adelaide will close out what has been a successful maiden season for Ferrari Challenge Australasia.

Using The Bend’s 4.95km International Circuit, the layout includes a great mixture of sweeping corners and tight turns to provide a true test for the drivers as the championship battle reaches its conclusion.

Trofeo Pirelli. It’s level at the top of the Trofeo Pirelli standings heading into the last race on the calendar. After missing the previous round in Sydney, Antoine Gittany (Ferrari Sydney) must win at The Bend after Jim Pollicina (Ferrari Sydney) took full advantage to draw level on points. Mark Hudders (Ferrari Sydney) sits third in the standings and is still a mathematical chance at the title, but his focus will be on maintaining third as just a singular point separates him and Cameron Campbell (Ferrari Richmond).

Coppa Shell. Enzo Cheng (Ferrari Sydney) has been immensely impressive this season and is expected to secure the Coppa Shell title at The Bend. A lot must go right for David Trewern (Ferrari Gold Coast) to bridge the 32-point margin to Cheng as just 34 are on offer. Extra competition will come from Aemel Nordin (Ferrari Adelaide), Tony Baildon (Ferrari Brisbane), David Frish (Ferrari Sydney) and Masahiro Taguchi (Ferrari Brisbane) of Japan.

Trofeo Pirelli 488. The Trofeo Pirelli 488 competition has been decided in favour of Michel Stephan (Ferrari Sydney) due to the absence of key rival Jarrod Ferrari (Barbagallo Ferrari) at The Bend. Japanese driver Baby Kei (Cornes Osaka) will aim to complete his Australian season on a high, while Paul Brockbank (Barbagallo Ferrari) will make his debut.

Schedule. Round 5 begins on Friday 5 September with two free practice sessions of 45-minutes each at 11:20am and 3:00pm (ACST). Qualifying kicks off the action on Saturday 6 September at 10:00am before the opening 30-minute race at 3:20pm. The final Ferrari Challenge Australasia action of the season on Sunday 7 September features qualifying at 11:20am and the last race at 4:10pm.

All Ferrari Challenge Australasia qualifying and race sessions will be available to livestream for local viewers on 7plus. International audiences can view both races via the Ferrari YouTube channel following the completion of each event.
