Exciting battles marked the opening day of racing in the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli Europe at Spa-Francorchamps, where the seventh round of the Prancing Horse single-marque series is being staged as part of the Ferrari Racing Days.

We caught up with the race winners for their first impressions after receiving their trophies on the podium.

In Trofeo Pirelli, another victory for Felix Hirsiger (Ineco – Reparto Corse RAM), who expressed his delight: “I am very happy with the win.”

In Trofeo Pirelli Am, Hendrik Viol (Scuderia Praha Racing) celebrated his fifth win of the season and is now just a few points away from the season title: “The car is extraordinary and today we were really fast,” he said. “The victory is very important for the championship and I am very satisfied.”

In Coppa Shell, the first win of the season went to Briton John Dhillon (Formula Racing), who gained a few points on overall standings leader Manuela Gostner (Ineco – Reparto Corse RAM).

In Coppa Shell Am, Jan Sandmann (Kessel Racing) reopened the title fight thanks to pole position, fastest lap and victory: “It was a great race and a wonderful day thanks to my many fans who are here at Spa. I built up a good margin, even after the Safety Car phase, and I am very happy with the win. Thanks to the whole Kessel Racing team.”
