Race-1 winners’ comments at Barcelona

Round six of the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli Europe took place at the Catalan circuit, with the championship edging ever closer to its thrilling finale, where the season’s verdicts will be decided.

After the podium ceremonies, we heard from the winners, starting with Felix Hirsiger (Ineco – Reparto Corse RAM), who claimed victory in the Trofeo Pirelli. The Swiss driver recalled the quick getaway that earned him the lead. “It was an excellent race,” said Hirsiger. “After the Safety Car, I kept up a good pace and I’m delighted to have won.”

In the Trofeo Pirelli Am, victory went to current standings leader Hendrik Viol (Scuderia Praha Racing), who, when highlighting today’s excellent and exciting race, was already looking ahead to Sunday’s contest, aiming “to achieve the same result again and move closer and closer to winning the championship,” he said.

In the Coppa Shell, Oscar Lee Ryndziewicz (Kessel Racing) achieved his first Ferrari Challenge victory in his debut season. “It’s a great joy,” he said. “After taking pole, I got an excellent start, which allowed me to stay in front and win my first race. A fantastic job: thanks to everyone.”

“Boris Gideon” (Autohaus Ulrich) claimed victory in the Coppa Shell Am, returning to winning ways in a race that finished under the Safety Car, following his double success in the opening round at Monza. “It was an unusual race,” he said, “with the Safety Car and penalties ahead of me, but I’m delighted to have won again. Thanks to everyone, especially my wife.”
