In 2021, Nicklas Nielsen enjoyed yet another successful season, retaining the FIA World Endurance Championship with Perrodo and Rovera in the FIA Endurance Trophy and winning his first 24 Hours of Le Mans for AF Corse. In the GT World Challenge, he was crowned Endurance Cup champion with Pier Guidi and Ledogar, winning the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps for Iron Lynx. In 2022, Nielsen will be back in the SRO series with James Calado and Miguel Molina driving Iron Lynx’s 488 GT3 Evo 2020, while in the FIA WEC he will be behind the wheel of AF Corse’s LMP2-class prototype with Rovera and Perrodo.
Since racing with Ferrari, Nicklas Nielsen has added a laurel to his trophy cabinet every year. In 2022, it was the World Endurance Championship in the LMP2 Pro-Am class, with François Perrodo and Alessio Rovera. His experience with the AF Corse prototype was useful for the development of the 499P.
