Weekend preview: four Ferraris at 24 Hours of Dubai
The third and final round of the 24H Series Middle East Trophy takes place this weekend at the fascinating and demanding 24 Hours of Dubai. Four Ferrari 296 GT3s will line up for the event, aiming to build on the third-place finish secured at the 6 Hours of Abu Dhabi.
24H Series. Over sixty cars are expected to start in the third and final event of the Middle East leg of the endurance championship. Among them are four Ferraris, three of which will be fielded by the local Dragon Racing team.
Car number 25 of Into Africa by Dragon Racing, entered in the Am class, will be shared by Xollie Letlaka and Stuart White – fresh from a strong podium finish at Yas Marina – along with Arnold Neveling and British drivers Jim and Glynn Geddie.
In the GT3 class, Axcil Jefferies, Dustin Blattner, Dennis Marschall and Al Faisal Al Zubair will take turns in car number 777 from Al Manar by Dragon Racing.
In the Pro-Am, Dragon Racing will field car number 88, with Giovanni Altoé, Oscar Ryndziewicz, Khaled Al Marzouq and Ramez Azzam sharing the driving.
Scuderia Praha will also be on the grid in the Pro-Am class, with car number 56 crewed by Josef Král, Dennis Waszek, Miroslav Výboh and Matúš Výboh.
The three qualifying sessions are on Friday, 16 January, starting at 10:30 a.m., with the top-10 shootout beginning at 5:20 p.m. The green flag for the 24-hour race will fly on Saturday, 17 January at 1 p.m.
