Weekend notebook: third place at 6 Hours of Abu Dhabi
The Ferrari 296 GT3 from Into Africa Racing by Dragon finished in third place overall at the 6 Hours of Abu Dhabi, the second and penultimate round of the 24H Series Middle East.
24 H Series. Third place went to the Ferrari 296 GT3 of Into Africa Racing by Dragon, crewed by Stuart White, Xolile Letlaka and Axcil Jefferies, in the second round of the 24H Series Middle East. At Yas Marina Circuit, the number 25 Ferrari originally finished fourth. However, a post-race penalty on another crew moved the car up to third.
The number 86 Ferrari from Baron Motorsport, driven by Ernst Kirchmayr, Philipp Baron, and Edoardo Bacci, finished eighteenth overall and seventh in the AM class. The number 555 Maezawa Racing Ferrari, with Japanese drivers Yusaku Maezawa and Naoki Yokomizo, secured twenty-second overall and sixth in the Pro-Am. The other two of the Maranello manufacturer’s entries – the number 88 Dragon Race car and the number 56 Scuderia Praha – were forced to retire and did not finish the race.
The 2025–26 24H SERIES Middle East season will wrap up next weekend, from 16 to 18 January, with the 24 Hours of Dubai. Currently, Into Africa Racing by Dragon is the highest-placed Ferrari team in the overall standings, in sixth place with 32 points.
