Six Ferraris at the ROAR before the 2026 Daytona 24 Hours

Maranello 14 January 2026

After its reveal during the summer of 2025, the Ferrari 296 GT3 Evo makes its worldwide racing debut at Daytona International Speedway, beginning with this weekend’s ROAR ahead of the famous 24 Hours of Daytona.

The three-day ROAR testing session for the IMSA SportsCar Championship sees six Ferrari 296 GT3 Evos on the entry list – two in the GTD Pro class and four in the GTD class, and several official drivers from the Maranello-based manufacturer.

Following the ROAR, the 64th edition of the 24 Hours of Daytona – the first round of the IMSA championship, as well as the race that traditionally kicks off the international motorsport season – will feature 60 cars lapping the 3.56-mile (5.7-kilometer) racetrack, colloquially known as The World Center of Racing. The green flag is scheduled for Saturday, January 24 at 1:40 pm (local time).

GTD Pro. Longtime Ferrari team Risi Competizione – and 2024 GTD Pro winners at Daytona – return in the same class with a trio of factory drivers, all of whom were a part of the team’s success two years ago. Daniel Serra and Daniel Rigon are joined by 2025 FIA World Endurance Championship winner Alessandro Pier Guidi, who returns after winning last season’s 2025 IMSA finale at Road Atlanta plus the IMSA Endurance Cup title with AF Corse.

Advancing into the GTD Pro ranks is Triarsi Competizione, which up until the 2025 season had only competed in GTD. The team splits its two entries at Daytona between the two classes.

Three factory drivers will rotate behind the wheel of the number 033 Ferrari 296 GT3 Evo alongside Riccardo Agostini: James Calado, another member of the 2025 Ferrari – AF Corse FIA WEC squad and a former winner at Daytona; Miguel Molina, the 2024 Hours of Le Mans winner; and Alessio Rovera, a two-time runner-up in the LMGT3 class in the FIA WEC.

GTD. Piloting Triarsi Competizione’s GTD entry will be Onofrio Triarsi alongside Kenton Koch, Robert Megennis and the official Ferrari driver Yifei Ye. Triarsi and Koch scored the team’s inaugural IMSA SportsCar Championship victory at Road America in 2025, while Megennis has victories of his own in the class. The team welcomes Ye, who famously became China’s first overall winner at Le Mans last year with the 499P entered by the AF Corse team, number 83.

AF Corse USA is Ferrari’s most recent-winning team in IMSA, having won the 2025 season-ending Petit Le Mans to clinch the IMSA Endurance Cup. Simon Mann and factory driver Lilou Wadoux Ducellier – who recently renewed his contract as an official driver for the Prancing Horse – were part of both successful campaigns, and will be joined by factory driver and former Le Mans winner (as well as winner of the 2025 FIA GT World Cup in Macau, with the 296 GT3) Antonio Fuoco, and Tommaso Mosca. Mosca is making his IMSA debut after running with AF Corse since 2024.

The remaining two Ferrari teams on the Daytona entry list also saw late-season surges in 2025.

Inception Racing captured its inaugural victory at the six-hour Battle on the Bricks at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in September. Brendan Iribe, Ollie Millroy and Frederik Schandorff combined for the winning effort and return to Daytona, and will be joined by David Fumanelli who ran with the team in last year’s season opener.

Meanwhile, Conquest Racing finished its 2025 GTD season with two podiums in the final four races. Team veteran Manny Franco will share the seat with three drivers who are no stranger to the 296 GT3. Albert Costa, who previously ran with the team before finishing runner-up in last year’s GTD Pro championship, is back alongside Lorenzo Patrese and Thierry Vermeulen. Patrese competed in last season’s IMSA Endurance Cup events, while Vermeulen makes his IMSA debut following contests with Emil Frey Racing in Europe.

The schedule. ROAR before the 24 Hours includes a total of seven free practice sessions open to the various classes of cars registered for the event. The first two sessions will take place on Friday 16 January, followed by three more sessions on Saturday 17 January and the last two on Sunday 18 January.

The cars will return to the track on Thursday, 22 January, for two more free practice sessions and qualifying for the GTD class (from 2:10 pm to 2:25 pm) and GTD Pro (from 2:30 pm to 2:45 pm). Finally, on Friday 23 January, there will be a third free practice session before the 24 Hours of Daytona, which will start on Saturday 24 January at 1:40 pm (all times are local).
