Ferrari on second row at Barcelona

Qualifying for the three-hour race, the final round of the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup, took place on Sunday morning, 12 October, at the 4.657-kilometre Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. The race is due to start at 3 p.m. local time. The fastest of the seven Ferrari 296 GT3s on track at the Spanish circuit was the number 51 AF Corse Francorchamps Motors entry, driven by official Ferrari drivers Yifei Ye and Alessio Rovera, along with Vincent Abril, which will start from third on the grid.

The session. The starting grid was determined by the average of the best laps set by each of the three drivers during their individual 15-minute sessions. Qualifying kicked off at 10:25 a.m. under clear skies and dry track conditions, with both air and track temperatures at 20 °C.

Pro. With a best average lap of 1:39.848, the number 51 Ferrari 296 GT3 will line up on the second row for the final event of the 2025 season. The second AF Corse – Francorchamps Motors entry, the number 50 Ferrari 296 GT3 crewed by official drivers Arthur Leclerc and Antonio Fuoco alongside Eliseo Donno, posted the seventh-fastest time (1’40”145).

Bronze Cup. The top two positions in the class for professional and gentleman drivers went to the Kessel Racing Ferraris. The number 8 Ferrari 296 GT3 of Nicolò Rosi, Niccolò Schirò and David Fumanelli secured pole position, beating their Kessel Racing teammates in the number 74 car. The trio of Dustin Blattner, Conrad Laursen and Dennis Marschall, winners of both the Sprint and Combined titles, now have a chance to seal the Endurance Cup crown as well. Sixth-fastest in class was the third AF Corse – Francorchamps Motors car, the number 52 Ferrari 296 GT3 piloted by Jef and Louis Machiels and Tommaso Mosca, which will start ahead of the number 93 Ziggo Sport Tempesta Ferrari 296 GT3 of Eddie Cheever, Christopher Froggatt and Marco Pulcini.

Silver Cup. The number 12 Rinaldi Racing Ferrari 296 GT3, driven by Rafael Duran, David Perel, and Fabrizio Crestiani, clocked the 15th-fastest time.
