Rafael Câmara to step up to Formula 2 with Invicta Racing for 2026
Scuderia Ferrari Driver Academy driver is pleased to announce that Rafael Câmara will make the step up to Formula 2 in 2026 with Invicta Racing, after a remarkable season that saw him crowned 2025 FIA Formula 3 Champion. The Brazilian driver has been part of the Ferrari Driver Academy since 2022, steadily progressing through the ranks of single-seater racing.
Following his Formula Regional European Championship title in 2024, Rafael enjoyed a dominant campaign in Formula 3 this year, securing four wins, five podiums and five pole positions, sealing the title with one round to spare at the Hungaroring. Rafael will start his journey with Invicta Racing during the post-season Formula 2 test in Abu Dhabi as part of his preparation for the 2026 campaign.
Rafael Câmara said: “I’m very proud to be joining Invicta Racing for my first season in Formula 2. Over the past few years, this team has become the top target for any driver who wants to race in F2 and has shown time and again that it knows how to develop young drivers. To follow Gabriel [Bortoleto] and Leonardo [Fornaroli] in making this step as Formula 3 Champion is a huge honour. After an amazing season in F3 this year, I feel ready for the next challenge, and I can’t wait to get started with the team.”
