Welcome F2008

Dear friends, First of all let me wish you a Happy New Year! Hoping that you were also able to relax and recharge your batteries for the New Year, just like the one, who is writing these lines did. The New Year has many new and interesting things and exciting challenges waiting for us. Obviously we are starting with the F2008, which had its first shakedown in the morning and has the task to confirm the Drivers' and Constructors' World Championship titles, gained in the last season. Numerous changes happen in the rules for the new season, starting with the elimination of the cars' traction control. Thus the cards will be shuffled anew, as President Montezemolo declared at the press conference in the morning, where he appeared in good form.  Apart from the fog at the circuit, which conditioned the outing of the car in the morning, the F2008 seems to be a car perfectly set up down to the smallest detail, especially as far as the aerodynamics are concerned, which has been cured by the engineers with particular attention. Logically the most important evolutions will happen over the season, as much as the most significant technical solutions. The most beautiful part of the car is, as usual, the form of this newly born single-seater.

It is now 11 January and still no word from Customercare (surely a mis-naming). I am still receiving newsletters and note that today's contains an apology for people having trouble accessing the dite due to level of activity. I just wish that I could be part of this activity. Come on customercare, reply to my pleas, fix the problem which is keeping me out of the site and allow me to pay my ¿40 to renew my membership. Surely that is not too much to ask. Michael

I thank you for your good wished but action from customercare would also be nice. Since early December I have not been able to access the Y&F SFC site. When I contacted customercare I was informed that I was not a member of Y&F SFC despite paying my ¿15 to upgrade in April last and receiving my membership card. I replied with details of my membership almost one month ago, together with a copy of the email welcoming me to Y&F SFC and the confirmation of payment from Sella Pay but despite many reminders I have not had even the courtesy of a reply to my many e-mails beyond one bland acknowledgement. I am completely frustrated about the situation. I want to remain as a member of Y&F SFC but due to the inaction of customercare cannot renew my subscription. I apologise for his inappropriate use of the blog but I feel that I have no other method, after a month of silence on the part of customercare, of venting my disappointment at my treatment. I have been a loyal member since 2000 and would have hoped for better treatment. Michael
