Voglia di vincere - Will to win

E ora… in attesa delle foto, mi dedico al mio cappuccino -----  Maybe because I’m still sleeping, but I feel a little bit sad… our yesterday good feelings did not realize, at least today… By drivers’and team’s declarations, (www.FerrariWorld.com), the will to win still leaks out, and this is the main ingredient during a challenge. For tomorrow we hope in a weather+tyres ideal formula! And I am totally trustful to our drivers. In the end I would like to dedicate a memory to Pope Giovanni Paolo II after a year from his death… And now, waiting for the photos, I drink my cappuccino

Eccomi! - Here I am!

Allora come state dopo le emozioni di ieri? Io benissimo! ------------------- So, how are you all after the excitement of yesterday? I feel great! It was my first time at Imola and it was a victorious one… and what a win! I was on my feet throughout and it was agonising each time I saw Michael zoom past with Alonso on his tail. That pit stop almost spoiled things but the class and experience of our driver was decisive. And what of Felipe? A great fourth place and precious points. At the end under the podium, it was almost as though I did not feel the heat. Oh yes, the heat! I came close to melting; for someone with a clear complexion like I have, it was extremely trying. Today everyone is in a good mood in the office. The comments will have to wait until Wednesday, however, as tomorrow is a public holiday in Italy and so many people have taken a long weekend break. For those of you who have not made the trip to the coast, we have a new survey in the forum waiting for you… Last but not least… I want to wish a happy birthday to our driver-blogger, for tomorrow: happy birthday Felipe….. A big hug to everyone…

Il trasloco - The move

------------- Dear friends, here I am again! It has been only been a few days since we have been in touch but much has happened here in Italy: the elections, big new stories, a hint of spring and then more chilly weather (with my usual cold); in short, you will certainly not have been bored! I read your blogs and comments with pleasure; they become ever more ‘personal’ and enjoyable…So, here we are at the second part of ‘who are we and where do we come from?' Well, after the famous phone call from Ferrari, many emotions and thoughts ran through my head, as you can imagine. I thought about the responsibility awaiting me and the fact that I had to move to another city and work with new people. However, the main feeling was that I could not wait to start! Luckily, I had to begin soon after. This, obviously, meant that I had to find a flat very quickly and make the move! I had to leave clothes, shoes, books and a thousand other things behind ; things that, without realising it at the time, are necessary for day-to-day life. I tried to bundle everything into my car and that of my parents (who I dragged into the move). Then it was off to the motorway! I stayed in a hotel for a few days and began looking for a flat. Finally, after visiting a few, I chose my new ‘home’…

A weekend to forget

Dear friends, what a Sunday…or should that be what a weekend?! Unfortunately, things did not go as we expected them to. In fact, they went much worse that we ever imagined that they would. Having said this, we do need to remain optimistic and not be too downcast by the race result. I know that many of you are confused, fearing that we could be in for another season like 2005. Others worry about the performance of the 248 F1. I can understand you. Doubts creep in for us here in the office and we see things from the inside so I can imagine what you are thinking. Believe me though, things are not and will not be like 2005. Let me explain myself, the 248 F1 project is a well researched one. The reliability problems with the engine have been resolved and it now is on an absolute par with the other power units. The drivers are also keen to do well, Michael for his own reasons and Felipe his, and prove that that this belief is well founded. Many modifications have been made to the aerodynamics and the engine and this will be seen at Imola. Also, I would like to draw your attention to some key factors: in Malaysia, if the cars had not had to drop ten places on the grid and subsequently finish fifth and sixth, they would almost certainly have challenged for the podium. Secondly, at least in Michael’s case, this could also be said for the GP of Australia. Given what I have said, it is obvious that nobody wants to negate the fact that there are problems and that there is a lot to be done to take the 248 F1 to the top. Believe me, its true worth was seen at Bahrain and not in the last two races. The team at the Gestione Sportiva are so convinced of this that they say that proof will be seen at Imola. What do you think? Is it worth a bet?

Domenica - Sunday

----------------- Well, after yesterday it was not such a big surprise. Perhaps a position in the points would have been better but we were dogged by misfortune, like a kangaroo (seeing as we are in Australia) hindering the car's progress!   But, and there is a 'but', Imola awaits. It is our home race and there will probably be notable changes made to the car and these factors could prove crucial. I am ever optimistic. I have another reason to be down today: I have lost a few positions in the table based on a game we play in the office trying to predict to outcome of races. I am no longer out in front... Oh well!   Now I will get back down to it, and you? What does Sunday have in store? Before signing off I would like to pay my respects to little Tommaso...
