One to One

Dear friends, here at Maranello our attention is firmly focused on the coming weekend in Australia. The race, as per tradition, will be previewed tomorrow on FerrariWorld. The star of the ‘one to one’ will be Chris Dyer, Michael Schumacher’s track engineer. Having mentioned this, though I shouldn’t…I can reveal a couple of key discussion points that will, especially the second, generate debate.   The first is related to the race strategy and the second is about Schumacher’s possible decision to consider bringing an end to his glorious career at the end of the season. Dyer himself has expressed some perplexity and, in his opinion, Michael has no intention of retiring and appears more motivated than ever.   And if Dyer, who sees more of Michael than his wife does, says so, he is to be believed, isn’t he? What do you think?

    lol Gianpaolo, Sssshhhh!! I think if you show your blog to Corinna she will decide maybe she should see more of her husband ;-) I look forward to reading everything Chris has to say. As to Michael retiring - It`s something none of us want to see but, to be reasonable, it has to come one day. While Michael has the motivation I hope he will stay racing & stay with Ferrari. When the day arrives that he gets up in the morning & thinks "I`m no longer enjoying this" he will know that it is time to make changes in his life. Personally, I hope that is still a good while away. However, when he does make the decision to retire, although sad, we must all respect that decision. We have been honoured to be Ferrari fans during Michael`s time. We can, indeed, say "I was there" :o)

    The problem seems to be in the choice of pistons that seem to crack under pressure... So what makes for the cracking morale? X.

    I hope that Michael won't retire. But even if he decides to retire, he has already done extraordinary things and he can be proud of himself. Anyway I thank him wholeheartedly for all the things he has done. Thank you Michael. and FORZA FERRARI !

    Well I hope he decides to continue he is an absolute legend in my eyes and has bought so much success to us. He seems to have the passion still so it would be great for him to stay! I think Felipe is the perfect team mate and has the qualities to be a stunning driver and also can learn off Michael.

    I m really looking foward the next race in Australia.I m pretty sure that Ferrari will finally start seeing all the strong and impressive job did during the winter to give the first mportant results,thanks to the first win and maybe why not the first double! We ll see but anyway the scuderia have always had great races there,also last year I remember a good podio.But what about the 2 pr maybe 3 doubles that Ferrari got in the past ? Ok we have to look ahead but I think that because of the 248F1 is possible to do that with optimism !!Of course I can't wait to read what Chris Dyer is thinking about the actually moment of the team and about the car.Of course I hope first of all that the problem to the engine that didn't give the opportunity to both drivers to face the front runners at Sepang has been resolved.So let's see our friends Michael and Felipe to push strongly the 248F1.Melbourne is the right place to start dominating again !!!A really lovely place with many many Ferrrai fans :)) About the future of Schumi I have already expressed what I think,I completely agree with Mister Montezemolo;Schumy looks like a driver at the beginning of his career,the best driver of the world of course.When he will extend his agreement for other years(if he ll,i really hope so...)I ll be happy like I am when Ferrari wins.Same feeling talking about Todt and Brawn of course.....
