Reds on two wheels...

March 23, 2006 · Posted by staffFerrari

Dear friends, today I have decided to speak to you about something not strictly related to our beloved Prancing Horse. However, I am certain that it will be of interest to many of you: the start of the Moto GP season. The undersigned is a big fan of...? Do you really want to know? Well, apart from Valentino Rossi, a living legend, I am a Ducati fan and owner. Is it because, in my opinion, Ducatis are two-wheeled Ferraris? When you own one, it is impossible to switch to another marque (I am on my fourth). This is how things stand... All I know is that the reds from Borgo Panigale are an authentic passion, on a par with our other beloved Reds. Now, naturally, I am looking forward to learning about your preferences. Why not also give us your predictions for the GP of Australia? This will enlighten things as we have been quite busy in the office lately. I almost forgot... This weekend will see the Ferrari Challenge get underway at Imola. The event will see the F430 Challenge make its debut. Be sure to drop by if you are in the area, otherwise visit the new site dedicated to Ferrari's Corse Clienti. A little self promotion never hurt anyone!

We all know that Ducati is famous around the World as well so I m sure that also the foreign sportracing fans are pleased to know that both reds on two wheels got the first 2 positions today in the last session qualifying at Jerez. Now we have just to see if tomorrow Ducati will be able to keep the fastest pace in race too.I m pretty optimistic even if I m still sure that Valentino will be the favourite one.Maybe today he especially worked on the set up looking foward the race. Anyway it's going to be an exciting weekend...Moto Gp and first of all the beginning of the Ferrari challenge with the official debut of the new F430 Challenge !!!

Gianpaolo, Unfortunately for me, I'm from the USA, so I don't get to hear much about the Moto GP. Of course, being on everyday, I've heard of Valentino Rossi. Who hasn't? Already, without knowing much about Moto GP, I know that Ducati is by far my favorite. Ducatis are hands down, the best bikes in the world!! They're Italian, which automatically equals --- #1. You're exactly right though, they are two-wheeled Ferraris. Why do you think Valentino wants to race for us so bad?? hahaha The new Ducati 999 is the sweetest looking bike ever!! I look forward to becoming educated upon Moto GP in the future though, probably from other bloggers on this site. Forza Ferrari!! Forza Ducati!! Ciao Mark USA

Gianpaolo, I'm also very, very excited to see the new F430 Challenge in action. Living in the USA, I already had the privlege of seeing the F430GTC in action, courtesy of the Risi Competizione team at the 12 Hours of Sebring. Unfortunately, it wasn't in person, but on TV. The new F430GTC had a great showing, setting the fastest-lap for the GT2 class in its maiden outing. Very, very nice!!! From what I understood, the team had just only received the car from Maranello a week prior to the race. The car looks great and its aero-improvements from the GT car look to further increase overall efficiency. I'm very, very excited to see the F430 Challenge debut in the USA. That time is fast approaching, within two weeks from now in Florida. I've already seen the pics of the car in action this past weekend on the Corse Clienti site. The site is AWESOME, once again, Ferrari has done a great job producing a very informative site. The news from this past weekend's Ferrari Challenge Italia was on there immediately. The 430Challenge is already a success, but we all knew that!! Looks like this is going to be another great Challenge season, both in Europe, Italy, and the USA. Forza Ferrari!! Ciao Mark USA

Ciao Gianpaolo, I'm happy that Ducati won the first race of the MotoGP at Jerez (sorry for Vale's bad luck), congratulations to Loris Capirossi and the team. I always liked the Ducatis, they are indeed Ferraris on two wheels, particularly the Desmoquattros are pieces of art. What makes them special is the racing-heritage and the technology-transfer from the track to road. Which Ducati do you own?

Really nice to see that there are so many Ducati fans around the world and that they all are so happy because the impressive win it got yesterday.Anyway I m still sure that for the world championship Valentino is the favourite one.But try to image what Ducati could do if Valentino drove it !If he will not start the adventure in F1 joining Ferrari team I hope he will replace Gibernau in Ducati. So the Ducati/Rossi would be like Ferrari/Schumi.A great domination.About the Ferrari challenge I saw the pictures on the new Ferrari clienti site and I must say that I m especially impressed by the design of the new F430GTC that this year will challenge Porsche for winning the World Championship FIA GT2.In the paddock there was also a fantastic 599GTB.Look foward to seeing if Ferrari will produce the racing version of this car to fight for the next FIA GT Championship 2007.This year the 575GTC will run again. An updated version of the 575GTC.
