Ragazzi ci siamo! E' finalmente giunto il momento tanto atteso: ovvero quello dell'inizio del Campionato del Mondo di F1 2006. A questo proposito, immagino che un po' tutti quanti voi si domanderanno come andranno in questo primo appuntamento e, soprattutto, nel corso della stagione, le nostre due amate Rosse?
Bé, cari amici, ce lo chiediamo anche noi...
Si perché, credetemi, non è simpatico dover scrivere per un'intera stagione di sconfitte e delusioni, specie dopo aver dominato la scena per ben sei anni.
No, non è affatto facile e neanche divertente, anche perché ovviamente il clima generale all'interno dell'azienda ne risente in maniera significativa e non potrebbe essere altrimenti, dato che le corse sono, dalla sua nascita, l'anima e l'essenza stessa della Ferrari.
Detto questo però, posso anticiparvi che l'umore dalle parti di Maranello è decisamente migliorato in queste ultime settimane. La 248 F1 sembra nata bene e i ragazzi della Ges (Gestione Sportiva), la divisione che all'interno della Ferrari segue tutta le attività agonistiche del Cavallino e naturalmente anche la F1, sembrano fiduciosi, già per questa prima trasferta.
L'unica piccola preoccupazione è l'affidabilità, specie a seguito delle vibrazioni indotte dall'architettura del nuovo propulsore V8 che pare abbiano dato qualche problema durante i test. Problemi che però paiono essere stati brillantemente risolti. Che dire, speriamo bene, non ci resta che attendere poche ore per verificare se le nostre previsioni si materializzeranno o meno...

I imagine that many of you will be wondering how things will go, both in this first race and over the course of the season. Well, dear friends, we are asking the very same question. Believe me, it is not very enjoyable writing about defeat and disappointment for a whole season, especially after dominating for six years. It is neither easy nor enjoyable.
This also felt in the atmosphere around the company given that races have been, since the company's creation, the very soul of Ferrari.
Saying this, we can reveal that the mood around the company has decidedly improved over the past few weeks. The 248 F1 seems to be on track and the GES team (Gestione Sportiva - who run the Prancing Horse's competition side) seemed confident from the start.
The only small worry is over reliability, especially after the vibrations caused by the design of the new V8 engine that have created some problems during testing. However, these appear to have been brilliantly resolved. What is there to say? We are hopeful and there is nothing left to do but wait to see if our expectations are justified. We are full of hope, and you?
