Ferrari Tribute to Mille Miglia
After the first edition’s great success last May the second Ferrari Tribute to 1000 Miglia has announced today.
The event, an authentic race, passing just minutes before the most famous Italian road race will host 130 Ferraris built from 1958 until today.The 130 Ferraris will therefore start the race of the historical cars participating in the famous Mille Miglia. The race starts on Thursday, 12 May 2011 in Brescia, following the original route to Verona, Bologna and Imola on the first day. On Friday the participants will proceed after a special test at the Imola circuit, to San Marino and, after having crossed Umbria, arrive in Rome. The capital will welcome the precious cars participating in the “Tribute” and the Mille Miglia with a special event at the Castel Sant’Angelo.
On Saturday, the third and last day, the cars will drive on the famous via Cassia to Siena with a check point on the main square where the Palio is held, to Florence and the Piazza della Signoria, and on the Futa and the Raticosa passes. In the afternoon the cars will arrive for another special test on the Fiorano race track, after the participants visit of the Ferrari Works. Later on the cars will drive towards Brescia where a final show in honour of their participation will be held.
