Japanese GP - Working with qualifying in mind
Suzuka, 6 October – Sebastian Vettel topped the time sheet at the end of the third and final round of free practice for the Japanese Grand Prix. The German Red Bull driver stopped the clock in 1.32.136, to beat team-mate Mark Webber (1.32.371) while Felipe Massa was third for Ferrari in 1.32.824. In the other F2012, Fernando Alonso was eleventh with a 1.33.184. Both Ferrari men worked on the usual Saturday items, checking the car’s behaviour on both the Hard and Soft compounds. Changes were also made to the car set-up for this afternoon’s qualifying to decide the grid for the fifteenth round of the Formula 1 World Championship.
