Raffaele Marciello is ready to take to the track and excited about the season ahead, based on the strong showing he produced in pre-season testing.
“I am happy with the work we have done with the Prema team engineers,” explained the Ferrari Driver Academy driver. “We made the most of pre-season testing and I head for Hockenheim with the feeling that everything is possible.”

Marciello’s participation in the Formula 3 Euro Series is the culmination of a preparation that dates back to last year in the Italian Formula 3. “I will be one of the newcomers in the 2012 series,” said “Lello.” “But I don’t think of myself of a rookie who lacks experience. I don’t many of the circuits on the calendar, but I plan on using the simulator to make up for this.”
“Anyway, I don’t feel any pressure,” he added. “I can’t wait to get out on track and go up against the others. Also, a crowd of 120,000 is expected at Hockenheim and when I will enter the famous Motodrom, I think it will it be a breathtaking sight! It would be great to get on the podium in front of such a large crowd.”
Free practice takes place tomorrow at Hockenheim followed by qualifying to decide the grids for Races 1 and 3. Saturday features the first two races of the weekend with the third and final one on Sunday.
