The back-to-back races continue at this stage of the F1 season and right after the Indian GP we're immediately concentrated on the next race, held in Abu Dhabi. A fascinating place with a very particular circuit, surrounded by a breathtaking landscape and with unique track conditions.
Starting with daylight and ending in the dark is a further test for the protagonists on the track, especially at this decisive moment of the Championship.
We didn't really have much time since the last race to work on the car, but we gave it our all, day and night, to improve the F2012's performance, trying some updates and developments, we'll bring onto the track to be even more competitive regarding top speed, putting under pressure our main competitors, first of all Red Bull.
Naturally we're disappointed regarding the outcome of today's qualifying with Fernando and Felipe on seventh and ninth position on the grid respectively. We had a Q3, which was really far from our expecations after what we had seen on the track yesterday at free practice.
Even Sebastian Vettel, who's leading the classification, seemed to have some problems, gaining a third position on the grid, behind Hamilton and Red Bull's Webber.
Meanwhile, in the fight for the title, Alonso's disadvantage seems more evident.
Nevertheless the Spanish driver and Massa are conviced of their cars' potential and the entire team is extremely concentrated on tomorrow's race. It will be difficult, but not impossible, considering the performances in the last races and the progress Ferrari has demonstrated over the last weeks.
