When we arrived here in Spa after the summer break, we weren't especially welcomed by the weather conditons, not exactly what one can expect from this season. Here in Belgium the weather changes quickly and a lot, which is an important factor for the upcoming race. Yesterday the torrential rain and the slippery tarmac made the free praction sessions and the evaluation of our F2012 pretty difficult. Despite this fact it's always really fascinating to race in Spa-Francorchamps, one of the legendary tracks in the world of motorsport.
Relaxed after the summer break and highly concentrated, we're ready for a special race. A sixth place by Alonso and a 14th by Massa couldn't completely satisfy in the qualifying, but the competitors were far away from the top places, too and Vettel didn't even arrive in Q3. Fernando and Felipe are looking forward to tomorrow's race: they love to race on legendary tracks like here in Spa and they will give it their all, maybe hoping for better weather conditions. In case the weather keeps calm, we're convinced that we can have our say and let the Ferraris fight for as many points as possible.
