European GP - Second free practice session

Valencia, 21st August 2009 - As expected the temperature in the Spanish city, hosting its second GP in an area close to the sea, where the America's Cup teams have their bases, rose in the afternoon.
The second session of 90 minutes ended for the Scuderia Ferrari with the following results: Raikkonen drove the 11th fastest time (1:40.739) and 39 laps, while Badoer drove the 18th fastest time (1:42.017) and 37 laps. The fastest time was set by Fernando Alonso with Renault (1:39.404), followed by the Brawn GPs with Button and Barrichello. In the afternoon session the track was more and more rubberised leading to better grip of the two compounds brought to Spain by Bridgestone, the soft and super soft.
The Scuderia Ferrari concluded its programme foreseen for today, while Badoer continues gaining confidence on the 5.419 km long city circuit.
