Ferrari awards best suppliers. Winners on the track with Alonso

Maranello 20 July 2011 – Today the 2011 Podio Award Ceremony was held in Maranello. The traditional event Ferrari dedicates to its suppliers and strategic partners, awarding those who particularly stood out over the last 12 months.

In the presence of Ferrari Chairman Luca di Montezemolo and CEO Amedeo Felisa the following awards were presented:

Award for Italian excellence: Adler – For the excellent mix of flexibility and innovation, typically italian, confirmed by the development of the invisible bag component. The award was presented by Amedeo Felisa to Paolo Scudieri, CEO of Adler.

Technology Award: AVL - For the decade-long collaboration and the effort regarding the creation of test banks dedicated to the development of Ferrari engines, with particular attention to the evolution of new norms regarding Formula1 engines. Stefano Domenicali, Scuderia Ferrari Team Principal, presented the award to Helmut List, CEO of AVL.

Innovation Award: Harman - For having allowed Ferrari to use the high-end solutions regarding audio and telematics, personalising them coherently with the exclusivity of cars from Ferrari. Phil Eyler, Senior Vice President of Harman Automotive Division, received the award from Fernando Alonso.

The Chairman’s Award: OMR - For having known how to implement in a short time the management of the new providing sector regarding the aluminium chassis for the GT cars, guaranteeing Ferrari continuity of business and the development of chassis for new models. Luca di Montezemolo presented the award to Marco Bonometti, President of OMR.

The winners had the possibility to experience a very special moment: some laps on the Fiorano track on board of a 458 Italia driven by the Scuderia Ferrari driver Fernando Alonso.
