Descendants of the titanium wheel studs launched with the historic 360 Challenge Stradale, these new titanium studs represent a new standard in high performance lightweight technical solutions.
In particular, this solution, which combines a hex socket titanium stud with a hard anodized washer in ERGAL, has made it possible to reduce the 2.6 kg of the traditional studs to just 1.3 kg. The resulting improvement in terms of rotating masses allows a significant reduction in inertia with immediate and perceptible benefits in terms of responsive handling of the car on the road.
Also, the use of the captive washer combined with the hard anodized DLC coating completely change the physical interaction at the interface between the system components, allowing stud tensile force to be doubled with consequent increased rigidity of the wheel-suspension connection, all of which lead to improved road handling and driving feel.In addition to the screws it is possible to combine the well established aftermarket items in titanium, the new hub caps and valve caps, to complete the aesthetic appeal of a top class technical solution.
