The Paul Ricard circuit is in the south of France between Marseille and Toulon. Built in 1970, the track has a long and colourful history in the world of motorsport, for both motorbike and racing cars. This is not least because between 1985 and 1990 the French GP was disputed 14 times here.
Since 1999 the circuit has been modified several times, and is now one of the most sophisticated in the world. The track can be configured in no less than 180 different ways to suit almost any requirements, especially during the test sessions held here. The circuit has no gravel next to the track, but instead features coloured surfaces that offer superior grip to help prevent cars from crashing when they slip off the track.
