Developments in the right direction

Maranello - We had some pretty interesting improvements on the F60 at Silverstone, such as an improved front suspension and a new front wing. On such a fast track it was important to understand how much downforce we could have: we can say for sure that the car wasn't bad in terms of the set up, but we're still missing downforce to be able to compete with the leaders. Having said that, the developments go in the right direction.

The qualifying seemed very promising. I was very happy with my lap in Q2, but then, when I had refueled the car didn't go as good anymore. Starting from the fifth row my goal was to gain some points. This time I had a good start: the main straight is quite long, but it wasn't enough to pass Nakajima. I came on the grass and then I was on fifth position, impossible to gain more, because my first stint was too short. I couldn't overtake: in the fast corners at Silverstone it's very difficult to stay behind the car in front of you, especially when you have less fuel on board than the first ten cars on the grid. So I had a difficult race. In the end I gained one point. Better than nothing, but still a poor result. We are on position four in the Constructors' Championship and I think that this is our current value. We're out there fighting for third position, but the two teams on the top are still ahead of us in terms of performance.

After Silverstone we have two whole weeks to get ready as good as possible for the last two races before the summer break. The first of these two races is at the Nuerburgring. We'll get there with some improvements. It's a track with more slow corners and more braking points than the English circuit. We have to be more competitive, but it will also depend from the improvements the others can make. As usual.

I want to congratulate Sebastian for his great race. If the Brawns had some problems we could benefit: the next circuit is very different from Silverstone. We'll see how things go before we make any conclusions.

If the pace was poor why didnt ferrari fuel Kimi longer? When it was obvious that Ferrari struggled to get into Q3, Once into Q3 a longer first stint's worth of fuel would have helped Kimi leapfrog many during the pitstops. Ferrari have been pathetic in their pitwork and strategies. its a shame.

Great start!!! :D But...poor result,yes,poor...but we will keep waiting patiently, waiting for KR and SF coming back to the top!!! If get into Q3 then only take P9 or P10, what's the meaning of entering O3? It's said that those cars that didn't enter Q3 can be refueled without limitation,is this true? Compared to Felipe's, the strategy made for Kimi should have been better...A decent Qualifying is needed, but more points on Sunday are more important!

As we all saw in Silverstone, the pits strategy is fundamental (ask Massa). So maybe that is where you need to focus in Germany :) SISU KIMI... (Just an opinion)

Kimi or STAFF or RACE team or LUCA.., in you next blog can you mention more on the rear wing and the rear balance of the car, Its always the front we hear about. News is from ferrari is always about front wing, front suspension, front nose, front this & front that, is the F60 problems mainly to the front of the car. i know the balance of the car would be different if the KERS were not there, but if KERS werent there onboard would the car balance still be at the front of the car, i was at silverstone and the line of the F60 coming out of Stowe was alot different to the RED BULL, downforce being the issue, but KERS adds weight, adds downforce in high speed corners so is the front end to light...So bad balance for the set-up...?

Kimi, your start at Silverstone was very nice. Though the result was not as good as the start, you've done a good job. Hope the improvements and strategy at Nuerburgring will bring a desired effect. Keep fighting!! Susan

hey buddy....hope you are fine and good in health.the show in silverstone was really an enjoyable one and was a happy leading coming in mind but not satisfying, man.we always watched ferrari and you claiming victories but things are difficult now undoubtedly.ya i also wanna ask about the rear balance of the car.is there any problem still pointing in the gravitational balance?it seemed to me that in the staright lines both ferraris still having low pace than the RED BULL and Brawn.last race in speed trap ferrari was quite behind.hope these all will be overcome soon.see you at the top stand in the next race, buddy.take care.have great fun
