The Ferrari California amongst the jewels at the Goodwood Festival of Speed

Prancing Horse celebrating legendary event with its latest road cars and showcasing a F1 single-seater
Maranello, 29 June 2010 – The Goodwood Festival of Speed is the legendary summer event in England, where the cream of the crop in terms of world-wide motoring meets for three exciting days. And this year there are also numerous cars from the Prancing Horse. The Ferrari California, the 458 Italia and the 599 GTO - the appetisers to the presentation of a F60, the Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro’s single-seater from 2009, driven by Marc Gené, the official test-driver for the team from Maranello – have been called to participate in the timed uphill race, the “Sunday Times Supercar run”, held on Lord March’s estate in Sussex.
Meanwhile the “Cathedral Paddock” will host numerous historical cars with from Prancing Horse, which have been enrolled to the event by their owners, such as a 1953 375MM, a 1959 250 TR, the 158 F1, the 1964 F1 world champion car with John Surtees, and the famous 365 GTB/4, better known as “Daytona”.

The special coverage starts today with the first stage, the journey from Maranello to Goodwood, with two 458 Italia, a Ferrari California and a 599 GTB Fiorano, travelling across Europe and driven by international journalists to this legendary motorsport event in the UK.
