Born on 26 August 1986 at Thiene, in the province of Vicenza, Davide made his debut in Formula BMW ADAC in 2003, going on to win in Italian Formula Renault, Italian Formula 3 and Formula Azzurra. In 2007, Rigon triumphed in Euroseries 3000, with 6 wins, 7 podiums, 4 pole positions and 8 fastest laps. In 2008, he raced in GT2 in the FIA GT championship for the BMS Scuderia Italia team, winning the Spa 24 Hours. That same season, he made his debut in the Superleague Formula Championship in the white and green colours of the Beijing Guoan Racing Club. Come the end of the season, Rigon took his second title in two years, his name being the first to go on the trophy of the championship linking the worlds of motor sport and football.
Thanks to all this success, in 2009 he landed a GP2 drive with the Milan-based Team Trident. He took part in the final three rounds of the GP2 Asia series, taking his first podium at the last round at Sepang in Malaysia. He also raced in the main GP2 series, still with the Italian team, taking his first point at the Budapest circuit. In 2010 Davide took the Superleague Formula championship title with the RSC Anderlecht team. From 2011 he became available for all racing activity linked to the development of the car and commercial work.
